Andrea is the creator of ‘Canned Koi Cosmology’, which captures the world in a fish tin. Using bright oil paints, she paints humorous depictions of koi carp in a hyperrealistic style. Only at second glance does the sharp examination of the political, philosophical, social and ecological topics of our time become apparent. The carp as a reflec-tion of the contemporary human being. Andrea was born in Santiago de Chile and lives and works in Baden-Baden, Germany.
