EKA PERADZE

It is not easy to walk past Eka Peradze's paintings without getting a smile on one‘s face. Her creations with the many little colourful people are both cheerful and touching. They are a symbol of community in diversity and freedom. In many of her works, these little people step out of the picture frame, symbolising the overcoming of boundaries which no longer separate us.

What looks so simple on the canvas is a time-consuming process. Born in 1974 in Tbilisi, Georgia, Eka has developed her technique to perfection over many years. She has already won numerous prizes for her creations and her artworks have been successfully exhibited at numerous exhibitions around the globe.

Eka, mother of five children, lives and works in the small town of Sonneberg in Thuringia, Germany.
